The Beginning
It started with one amazing car I just had to capture. The first photos were rough, but they sparked a realisation: nobody was showcasing Tasmania's cars. So Tassie_Cars was born. With my brother's help on the logo, I began sharing the Tasmanian cars I spotted every day.
Building The Community
I kept my eyes open everywhere. Cars driving past, parked at work, spotted around town. Then came the car meets, where photographing cars turned into meeting the people behind them. Enthusiast by enthusiast, the community grew.
Levelling Up
Time to get serious. I dove into editing, upgraded to a better phone and studied the best car photographers on the mainland. New angles, hours of research, constant practice. Shot by shot, the work kept getting sharper.
Where We Are Now
Now shooting with a Sony camera and an Osmo Pocket 3, and editing in Photoshop and Lightroom for a professional finish. Tassie_Cars is now the biggest automotive photography and videography page in Tasmania on both Instagram and TikTok. The account is verified and growing, and I'm partnering with businesses and brands, building real relationships and taking it to the next level.

How much does a car photoshoot cost in Tasmania?
Static photoshoots start from $195 for one location and 10 edited photos. Cinematic rolling reels start from $350, and the Full Feature Package combining photos and video starts from $550. Every shoot is quoted on enquiry.
Where in Tasmania do you shoot?
Anywhere in Tasmania. Shoots are based out of Launceston, and any location within a 15 minute drive of Launceston is included in the standard price. Travel beyond that adds $1 per km, confirmed in your quote, so shoots in Hobart, Devonport and Burnie are easy to arrange.
What kinds of cars do you photograph and film?
Everything from JDM builds and European performance cars to American muscle, classics, supercars and proud daily drivers. If it matters to you, it deserves to be captured properly.
Do you create content for dealerships and businesses?
Yes. Tassie Cars partners with Tasmanian dealerships, detailers, workshops and automotive brands for photography, videography and social media content. Custom packages are quoted privately.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery is 3 to 5 business days for a Static Shoot and a maximum of 2 business days for Static Shoot Plus. A 24-hour priority delivery add-on is available for $100.
Can I get a cinematic reel of my car?
Yes. The Reel Feature includes up to two hours of filming at one location and one professional edit, delivered ready for social media plus a downloadable full quality version.
